I've been working on several projects lately, this site being one of them. Another project I can't mention just now, and along with all of it, this font: Olympia Elite No. 8 (click to download)
This is version 1.01 of this font and it has a ways to go. I'm currently looking into other Elite No. 8 characters that are available "in the wild" so I can use the actual character imprints (aside from the ones I have already) to preserve the authenticity. For now I have included a few manufactured versions of some missing characters based on the scans I took from my SM3.
I was asked a few times if the font would be available to download for free like the ones from Richard Polt and so I've decided to release this early version just to get it out there.
I hope that Mr. Polt doesn't mind me borrowing his copy for disclaimers and what not but I am also offering this font under the Creative Commons CC0 public domain. So, without further ado, here's the borrowed copy:
Unless they are credited to others, I, David Hartman, am the creator of this font, and I am making them available under a Creative Commons CC0 public domain dedication; this means I give up my copyright and allow reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, even for commercial purposes. I would also enjoy learning how they are being used so feel free to contact me.

Technical details: this TrueType font was created using Calligraphr.com and adjusted using FontForge. I used a nylon ribbon for this go (and you can see some of the dots but I kinda like them). This font is a monospaced font to preserve the look and feel of typewritten content, I'm not a professional font designer (either) so I can't guarantee that this font will work with all applications. I might be able to troubleshoot some issues so feel free to contact me though I cannot guarantee timely changes.
